Woman Killed in Friday's Single-Vehicle Crash on I-40 West
Update: The woman killed in Friday’s single-vehicle crash on I-40 west is identified as Morgan MacGavin, 44, of Nashville.
Today’s single-vehicle crash on I-40 west near Bellevue involving a red Mazda SUV claimed the life of the driver, a woman believed to be from Nashville. Her positive identification is pending.
The investigation shows the westbound Mazda struck the interstate median wall just after 11 a.m., crossed the westbound lanes of travel and ran off the interstate into a tree line. The driver died there. There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
